Vineyards

The company manages approximately 70 hectares of vineyard.
The 50 hectares of vineyard planted in 1977 are located in the lower Sulcis area, in the district of S. Margherita di Pula (CA), between the ancient city of Nora, the nature park of Is Cannoneris and the sea. The white grape varieties planted are: Sardinian Malvasia, Vermentino, Nasco and Chardonnay; while the reds are: Sardinian Bovale, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Frank, Merlo, Carignano. New and different grape varieties are continually being tested in these vineyards. The 20 hectares of vineyard are on the other hand located in two different ares of Sardinia that are typically known for the production of two indigenous grape varieties such as Cannonau and Cagnulari: in the area known as the “Turritano” and more precisely in the District of Usini (SS), where the rare Cagnulari grape, a longstanding Sardinian grape variety, is typically grown, and in Ierzu District (NU), where we grow bush trained Cannonau vines. These are vineyards that have been planted as long as 47 years ago and at an altitude of up to 500 metres above sea level.
