The area where our vineyards are situated has two separate rainy seasons, in autumn and spring, bridged by a dry spell: in this period there are winds that leave the sky clear and cloudless for long periods. The months with the most rainfall are November and December, while the driest months are July and August.
The rainfall varies between 600 mm and 800 mm a year in the flat lands and the foothills.
The wind is a constant presence in Sardinia. The winds blow year round from different directions. Often, during the winter season, they are Westerly or South Westerly, and tend to blow over the whole of the Cagliari Gulf. The Maestrale or Mistral is prevalent during the summer months, and leads to a considerable shift in day/night temperatures, with beneficial effects on the ripening of our grapes.
