Feudi della Medusa confirms its reputation as a producer of wines of a superior quality. Wines of great grape strength, made from intense and well-ripened fruit. Among the whites a mention goes to the excellent Vermentino di Sardegna 2005 and the Chardonney Alba Nora 2004 with its great power, enveloping taste decay and notable fruit maturity: this wine has a minty balsamic perfume that enhances its sweet spicy taste flow. The thickness and viscosity of the Aristeo Passito are quite outstanding, as is the sweet well-rounded taste, strongly tinted with spice. Among the reds where the fruity maturity is at its height, the quality is at its best. And here we have the smooth Cagnulari 2005 with it’s fleshy and fresh palatal roundness.
The champion and among the best of the Yearbook however is the Norace 2004, among the wood aged reds the one most endowed with natural currant, blackberry and fruit scentings that envelope a strong yet sweet woody essence. My compliments.
