The
red glasses indicate the wines
that have been selected for the
final selection round that awards
the three glasses.
The
wight glasses indicate the wines
that have been evalueted in the
2006 edition too
They have been producing wine for only two years and
already three of it’s wines reach the final.
As well as the grapes from their approximately 40 hectares
(50 - editor’s note) of vineyard that are part
of the company estate, others grapes are brought in
from various areas of the island. This is the case
with the Cannonau di Sardegna ’04, an unblended
wine made from grapes grown in the Jerzu area, that
has a very ripe grape taste, yet maintains it’s
freshness and liveliness even on the palate. But what
has given us the greatest satisfaction is the Biddas
Arrubias ’04, a great red wine made from Cannonau,
Bovale and Cagnulari grapes. The low per hectare yields
and the ageing exclusively in steel vats have developed
a rich and intense bouquet of ripe red berries, while
the palate, somewhat less complex, is smooth, well-balanced,
with well integrated tannins, in a word, extremely
elegant.
