A great first outing for this new and very promising wine company, located on the rode that from Cagliari leads to Chia.
On the 60 hectares of company land, 40 are already planted and 27 are now in production.
The estate is managed by a beautiful foreigner, Heide Maria Kronlein Siclari, who, in addition to finding the love of her love here in Italy, has also discovered a passion for the vineyard and wine.
She is sided in this not so simple task by her husband Francesco and experts in a number of fields, such as geology, agronomy right up to the consultancy of Donato Lanati and his team.
The principal aim is to make great wine, by fully exploiting the potential of indigenous grapes, with the De Logu Collection, but with a eye trained on the expectations of the major international markets.
All the wines have been awarded high marks and two reached our finals.
The Norace 03 made from Bovale, Cannonau and Syrah grapes, releases a broad and persistent bouquet, and has considerable body and structure.
The Gerione 03 is also excellent (Bovale, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Cabernet Franc) with plum, maraschino cherry and Mediterranean bush perfumes, well rounded tannins, and warm and well balanced overall.
Enveloping fruit scents with fruit and vegetable tinges; its particular smoothness makes it tallowy and pleasant despite the considerable structure.
The Cannonau of Sardinia 03 is good but still young.
The white wines are also excellent such as Alba Nora 03, made from Chardonnay grapes, and Sa Perda Bianca, a blend of Chardonnay and Malvasia.
